Softbank CEO will announce that he will invest 100 billion dollars in the United States during his visit with Trump

Softbank CEO Masayoshi Son will announce a $100 billion investment in the United States on Monday during President-elect Donald Trump’s visit to his residence in Palm Beach, Florida. Sarah Eisen.
In a joint announcement with Trump, the billionaire investor and founder of a Japanese tech investment firm will pledge to create 100,000 jobs focused on artificial intelligence and related infrastructure, the sources said. The money will be deployed until the end of Trump’s term.
Funding can come from a variety of sources managed by Softbank, including the Vision Fund, capital projects or chipmakers. Arm Holdingswhere the firm is the majority owner. Some of the money won’t necessarily be new money raised, but could include some funding already announced, such as Softbank’s recent $1.5 billion investment in OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT.
Softbank’s Son and Trump made a similar statement with the Japanese firm in 2016 after Trump was first elected president. He agreed to invest 50 billion dollars in the United States It aims to create 50,000 jobs.
