TLC/YouTube Janelle Brown revealed during the latest episode of “Sister Wives” that she blamed her family’s money problems — especially Cody Brown. Janelle, 55, told Christina Brown on the Sunday, November 24, episode of TLC that after talking to Mary Brown one episode, she realized that Cody, 55, (…)

She claimed: “And then for the last few years Cody has just been withdrawing funds, and I don’t know what. And the money has just been spent – and a lot of it.”

Cody – who at one point was married to Janelle and Christina as well Mary Brown and Robin Brown – denied accusations that he spent money for no reason. (Mary, 53, and Cody confirmed their split in January 2023. He is still married to Robin, 46.)

“I was a father to 18 and a husband to more than just Janelle,” Cody gushed. “So we had a lot of places that needed money to go that weren’t always Janelle’s business.”

He explained that because Jenelle “did the bookkeeping” for the family, she saw all the transactions without having cash on her desk. “So some of the bills that all of us have to pay had to be paid by her,” Cody added.

Janelle, meanwhile, claimed she didn’t have the same access to funds as Cody claimed.

“He loves this mantra that I was somehow (all) all powerful with all the financial control,” Janelle tweeted, insisting “I was really just the person who recorded the deals and sent them to the CPA.”

“I’m like, ‘Dude, man, if I was in control of the money, we would have paid off (Coyote Pass and) built a house,'” Christine said during the Nov. 24 episode. She claimed she just wrote down “what was spent and sent it accountant”.

At the time, Cody didn’t read the misconception, telling the cameras, “It’s funny, my other wives remember how Janelle controls the money.” He admitted that he “kind of controlled where the money went,” but claimed that “they all had access to the account.”

Sunday’s episode featured Jenelle and Mary Finally on the same page about money – and their ongoing land dispute with Cody and Robin. Cody’s ex-wives agreed to each get their own attorneys so they could receive an equal share of the Coyote family’s Arizona estate.

After Christina’s split from Cody, she transferred her portion of the land to ex-husband and fourth wife Robyn. Janelle and Mary, however, are still in business and therefore want to sell and cash in on their respective assets.

“I believed it would all work out in the end. And looking back now, I’m like, ‘Wow, that’s really stupid. Why didn’t I insist that we were all named for all the pieces? ” Janelle said. “I was just too trusting.”

When talking to Mary about what they owed, the women said they “paid for the land out of the family account” and “paid for it equally.”
