In a humorous critique of corporate work culture, Superpen founder Kunwar Raj went viral for a satirical LinkedIn post advertising a part-time Chief of Staff position with outrageous requirements.

This post comes from L&T Chairman S.N. After Subrahmanian’s controversial remarks advocating for longer working hours, including a provocative comment asking:

In his post, Raj hilariously suggested a 90-110 hour work week, reflecting Subrahmanian’s call for significantly longer hours. week,” he wrote, giving it a satirical tone that resonated with many.

Raj outlined several key responsibilities for the role, which include:

1. Manage his flooded email and LinkedIn inbox.

2. Ghostwriting his LinkedIn posts.

3. Write code for Superpen.

4. Designing new product prototypes and wireframes.

5. Hit monthly sales targets of Rs.1 million.

6. Closing a $3 million seed funding round at a $15 million valuation.

The requirements were equally absurd, demanding candidates have an MBA from a Tier 1 college, are unmarried to avoid distractions, and have previous experience in L&T or Infosys.

Raj joked that “Reparations” would be “under the industry standard” and encouraged readers to comment “slavery should be abolished” to increase the post’s visibility.

The post quickly gained attention, with many social media users joining in on the joke. One LinkedIn user sarcastically responded to the post, writing: “I’m excited to announce that I’m applying for this incredible part-time opportunity as the CEO of Everything. Why I’m a perfect fit for this position; A. Key Qualifications: I have 25+ years of experience condensed into my 30-year lifespan.”

He then goes on to explain why he is the perfect “burn” candidate for the role.

Another user commented: “Anyway, at least there’s compensation because there was another chief of staff hiring position, but they wanted free labor and insisted we put cash into charity. I’m more than interested in this part-time role.”

The 90-hour workweek controversy

Earlier S. N. Subrahmanian’s comments had caused considerable backlash, prompting reactions from prominent industrialists such as Anand Mahindra and Harsh Goenka, while the internet exploded with memes and jokes.
