If you have to eat gluten-free for whatever reason, it can be difficult to make sure you have a good place to eat during the holiday season.

Most restaurants can be swamped during the holiday rush, which means the risk of cross-contamination increases. While it may not be annoying for some, it can be a serious health problem for others.

Here’s our list of the best gluten-free restaurants in Seattle to help you make culinary decisions this holiday season!

Ghostfish is a gluten-free specialty brewery and restaurant

If you can’t eat gluten and miss drinking beer, you’re in luck! Ghostfish Brewery offers an extensive collection of gluten-free beers and also offers a stellar menu. From pub classics like chili cheese fries and beer battered onion rings, Ghostfish is also teasing pork belly bites, orange chipotle pork tacos, and blackened salmon BLTs on its extensive menu.

They also offer a monthly burger or sandwich special to keep hungry customers away. In November they had a ground turkey burger with arugula and cranberry aioli. In December, they had their own version of the McRib, which they called the McPiggy Pork Sandwich – a 5-ounce grilled pork loin topped with BBQ sauce, white onions, and spicy pickles.

For those who are vegetarian, customers can replace the meat patty with an Impossible patty at no extra charge.

Restaurant opening hours:

Happy hour is available Monday through Thursday from 2 to 5 p.m.

Brunch is available on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The breakfast menu includes breakfast tacos, corned beef and French toast.

A Stir sells gluten-free wine and Mediterranean cuisine

Formerly known as Capitol Cider, the restaurant has now been reimagined to sell both food and drinks. While still known for their eclectic collection of wine, cider and cocktails, they also sell food with a northern Mediterranean twist, channeling Spanish, French, Italian, Greek and Turkish cuisines.

The menu, which includes meze, crispy calamari Creole and wild mushroom risotto, has something for everyone.

Their hours of operation are as follows:

Saturday – 5:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m

Sunday – 17.00 – 22.00

Razzi’s is not certified gluten free, but they are allergy aware

In the mood for pizza? Pizzeria Razzi has two locations, one in Greenwood and one downtown. Unfortunately, this is not a special facility; however, they are well aware of the importance of avoiding cross-contamination. So they have a separate pizza oven for added protection.

In addition to the traditional menu, their website also has a gluten-free menu, a vegan menu, and a menu that includes both gluten-free and vegan options. For those looking for an option on a ketogenic diet, there are also low-carb pizza crusts and pastas.

One of the most popular bakeries in the region is Wren’s Nest Baking Co. In addition to selling a long list of cakes, cookies, muffins and rolls, the bakery also offers savory items such as calamari and empanadas, which can be warmed up and eaten in the spacious snack bakery. BIPOC, a woman-owned and operated business, specializes in gluten-free, vegan and other allergy-friendly treats such as cookies and cakes. Their cookie monster, which retails for $10 and contains Pascha chocolate chips, is just as delicious as their chocolate brownies. They also have a variety of savory options.

This specialty gluten-free bakery is always stocked with treats for any occasion. They have a variety of pastries, such as the Raspberry Danish, and a variety of donuts, such as the Red Velvet Donut. There are also standard brownies, chocolate chip cookies and ale cupcakes. They also have some hard-to-find gluten-free baked goods, like an eclair or a yuzu roll. Have you ever seen a yuzu roll at the grocery store? Probably not!

Nuflours opening hours are quite easy to remember! They’re open every day from 8am to 5pm, so there’s always time to stock up on delicious treats!

Frankie and Jo’s has gluten-free ice cream…and cookies!

Who doesn’t want to end the day with ice cream? Frankie & Jo’s caters to everyone with gluten-free ice cream in a variety of fun flavors. In addition to seasonal flavors like Cookie Milk and Chocolate Raspberry Swirl, they also include staple regular flavors like Chocolate Tahini Supercookie and Jamocha Chaga Fudge.

While they have traditional flavors like chocolate, strawberry milk, and mint brownie, who can resist trying their salted caramel ice cream? This unique flavor features salted caramel ice cream blended with activated coconut charcoal and sea salt.

There are three different locations in Seattle, but the one on Capitol Hill is open from 4-10pm on weekdays and 1-10pm on weekends. Be sure to check the hours of the nearest location before your trip to ensure they will be open when you arrive!

Dude’s Donuts are gluten-free and vegan

How can you not visit a place called Dude’s Donuts? Located across the water, all you need is a ferry to take you to Port Orchard to try gluten-free and vegan donuts. Their menu changes monthly and consists of three consistent flavors as well as three seasonal dishes.

Dude’s Donuts is open Friday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., but you can also order for pickup at various Washington locations, such as Soulberry Cafe in Tacoma or to Cafe “Pegasus” in v downtown Seattle.
