Samsung’s Midrange Galaxy A56 has AI editing photos and boom for its buttons

As I naively hoped to see Galaxy S25 Edge Before MWC, it wasn’t what I saw last week at Samsung’s briefing before the show. What I saw can intrigue many of you: a more cheaper galactic hardware in the form of the Galaxy A56. It will be available later this year, starting at $ 499 (or £ 499 in the UK), which is a little more cheap than the Pixel 8A when it first appeared. Samsung also announced the Galaxy A36 and A26 today and they will start at $ 399 and $ 299 respectively.

Many of the A series is upgraded this year that we saw from the S25. A56 is smaller than its predecessorup to 7.4 mm from 8.2 mm, while packing a slight larger 6.7-inch screen. The frames, which were usually one of the most famous visual stories of Serie A, were also shaved and the frame of the A56.

The hardware is pinched, with a brush metal frame and a minor design twist: a new slightly protruding lump on the side where the volume and power boilers sit. When I had to do the A56 briefly, I liked it. Asymmetry aside it was easier to deal with, which was surprising, as it was a 6.7-inch device and I am more shone with 6.3-inch phones. The A56 felt less uncomfortable. (Did Samsung’s designers read my UNHING From the sides of the phones and decide to blur the waters further? Maybe.)

This is a mixed bag of camera specifications this year. The front of the A56 already has a 12-megapixel selfie camera, while the rear is upgraded 12MP Ultrawide, 50MP main sensor with f/1.8 lens and optical image stabilization. Still has a 5MP macro lens for somebody Outside.

These new cameras have many of the latest S25 family upgrades, including improved processing of the image signal for better low light performance, as well as a raft of AI features, including improved detection of objects in portrait mode. Samsung says the A56 will better recognize the sky, skin, faces, hair and grass for improved Boke effects.

As for editing images powered by AI, there are also object tires, an automatic haircut for videos and creating a filter where you can choose an existing image and apply its color and tone to another photo. You will also get the best person, which allows you to choose from multiple captures for the best expression for anyone, as long as you have activated motion photos. These are not new features of smartphones, but their complement is closer to the A56 mid -range range to the Galaxy S25.

Through one UI 7, the A56 gets flourishing style and improvements to the home screen like now a bar, changes to the notifications panel and scale gadgets in different shapes and sizes. Samsung also promises six generations of OS updates (compared to four of last year’s A55) and six years of security updates.

As you can find out so far, there are no surprises here. The 5000mAh battery is the same size as the A55, although the charging speed is already 45W. The company says you can load the device completely for just over an hour. Samsung has replaced the 4nm Exynos 1580 with its own chip, with the processor increasing about 18 percent. The hardware, once again, inches closer to the quality and premium feeling of what we usually see on the Galaxy S. devices.

This is a mid -range peak telephone season. The Galaxy A56 stands up to the recently launched iPhone 16Ewhile rumors suggest Google Pixel 9A It can break the cover very soon.

Samsung also announced the Galaxy A36 5G and the Galaxy A26 5G today, which both have 6.7-inch screens that turn bright as 1200 nits and refresh to 120Hz. They also come with one UI 7, including features like a search Circle, which previously started on better phones. Plus, they also have triple camera with a 50MP main sensor, although their Ultrawide setting camera is not as sharp as A56 at 8MP. Some of the software features, such as Best Face, are also reserved for the A56, although you will still find the updated Eraser and filters of the pair more expensive phones.

Finally, although the A36 and A26 have the same assessment of the IP67 and 5000mAh battery as the A56, they will only pack 6 GB RAM, and the A36 uses the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor instead of Exynos 1580 in the A56.

In the UK, the Galaxy A56 will continue to order on March 2 and start on March 19th. It will be available in four “great” (Samsung formulation), graphite, olive, pink and light gray. Because nothing screams great like a more light shade of gray. Although we have pricing for us, Samsung has not shared a more precise period of availability than “later this year”.
