Salah “focused on the team” despite growing uncertainty over Liverpool’s future
Mohamed Salah insists his only aim is for Liverpool to win the Premier League title even though his future at Anfield remains uncertain.
Salah scored and assisted two more in a 5-0 win over West Ham on Sunday as Arne Slot’s side ran riot at the London Stadium.
Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo, Trent Alexander-Arnold and substitute Diogo Jota also found the net as Liverpool end the year in pole position for the league title.

But one of the main talking points to come out of Anfield in recent weeks has been the futures of Salah, Alexander-Arnold and captain Virgil van Dijk, all of whom are out of contract this summer.
The three are yet to agree an extension, but the Reds’ top scorer this term says his top priority is making sure his side get some silverware this term.
“The only thing on my mind is that I want Liverpool to win the league,” Salah told Sky Sports after the game. “I just want to be a part of it.
“It’s the only thing I’ve focused on since the start of the season. So I will do my best for the team to win the trophy.
“We are in the right direction, but of course there are a few other teams that are trying to catch up with us. We just have to stay focused, work hard and get back at it.”
On the contract situation, Salah remained tight-lipped: “We are far from it. I don’t want to put anything in the media.
“I’m focused on the team and I hope we win the Premier League.”
🗣️ “The way he celebrated his goal tells you enough”

Slot also chose not to give anything to the press about matters off the pitch.
The Liverpool boss told Sky Sports: “People still talk about it more (in January). Not just those three (Salah, Van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold) but other players because it’s a month where players they can also make a transfer.
“So this next month is not only going to be about the three of them, but the ones we’re bringing in and the ones that might be leaving as well.”
Slot, however, singled out Alexander-Arnold for praise amid growing speculation that the 26-year-old wants to leave Liverpool in the summer, with Real Madrid believed to be the likely destination.
“He (Alexander-Arnold) is playing really well. He scored a great goal and the way he celebrated his goal probably says it all.
“So I don’t think I need to say much more about it. I’m very happy with Trent in the same way I’m happy with Mo (Salah) and with Virgil (van Dijk). So for me there’s no difference.
“For the outside world, maybe there’s a bit more going on in the media. But for now I’m happy with all three.
