Russia says it captures Kurakhove in eastern Ukraine By Reuters
MOSCOW, “Reuters”.- Russian forces have taken control of the city of Kurakhove in the Donetsk region of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense of Russia announced on Monday.
Gaining control of Kurakhove has “significantly hindered the logistical and technical support of Ukrainian forces,” the ministry said.
Kurakhove is 32 km (20 miles) south of Pokrovsk, a key Ukrainian logistics hub that Russia has been advancing on for months.
