Lake Ricky used to call myself “Nancy ReaganA student,” because she would always say “no drugs,” but after growing her own cannabis, she stopped smoking weed — and she doesn’t take herself too seriously.

“What’s good to watch when you’re high? Watch old series The Ricky Lake Show on YouTube,” Lake, 56, tells us exclusively in the latest issue Us Weekly while promoting her collaboration with Farms of Stone Road for her Ricki Lake & Bake line.

The – the actress laughs at the thought of smoking weed while airing reruns of her second talk show, which ended in 2013 after one season. “It would be really, really fun to have this holiday season,” she teases, adding, “It’s a ride.” (Lake also accepted Lake Ricky from 1992 to 2004)

Although Lake jokes that he’s watching The Ricky Lake Show under the influence, she says us that when she filmed her two episodes, cannabis wasn’t even on her radar.

“I was adamantly against all illegal drugs,” Lake explains, noting that she is now “180 years old, and now I have a lot of respect for the drug and love it recreationally.”

One day, Lake started growing her own weed in Malibu, California — which eventually led her to a collaboration with Stone Road Farms – began to sincerely believe in its healing properties. She also says that smoking or using cannabis makes many activities more enjoyable.

“We like to take candy to the theater,” Lake says us her and her husband Ross Burninghamtheatrical benefits. “It does The Broadway Experience that’s better.”

She explains: “We’re joking Moulin Rouge. … Moulin Rouge it’s kind of not the best show, but (seeing) it high was amazing. My husband has been humming it for days. It was so funny.”

Lake notes that while she doesn’t have a favorite movie to watch, she points to one Elf as “a good movie to watch with a stoner” during the holiday season.

She adds that she likes to do “anything” with rocks, but says she’s “not high all day” because she has to “work,” warning us“There is a fine line. You can definitely take too much. So I’m definitely on the side of smaller is better.”

That being said, Lake and her husband usually take cannabis in some shape or form in the evenings to relax. “For me, it’s mainly a night rest, watching TV, communicating with my husband. And get those amazing nights of REM sleep,” she reveals.

Lake says that as she’s gotten older, she’s learned to “prioritize the rest,” so cannabis helps with her sleep cycle. This too helped in her health journey.

“I love cannabis. I drink that,” she explains, noting that the brand she uses is “low-calorie,” so it’s better than drinking a glass of wine with lots of sugar before bed.

Lake adds, “I’d like to drink my cannabis drink, which is about 40 calories. You get that nice high. It just takes the edge off.”

“I obviously believe in this drug, the Stone Road brand and what they’ve built,” Lake said in a press release earlier this month. “It’s so in line with where I’m at in my life, and I’m so happy to be out there.”

Specialty Cannabis was developed by the founder and CEO of Stone Road Farms Lex Corwin given Lake’s legacy. “This is a tribute to her iconic career and longtime advocacy for cannabis,” Corwin said in a statement.
