Ravichandran Ashwin brazenly seeks CSK’s approval on fan’s query on MS Dhoni for IPL 2025

Ravichandran Ashwin has spent more time on social media now that he has retired from international cricket. Recently, the off-spin wizard heeded a request from a CSK fan and cheekily asked his IPL franchise if it is possible to do it in the upcoming IPL season.

Everyone wants to see MS Dhoni bat

The focus of this special request from the CSK fan was MS Dhoni. Notably, the former Indian captain still pitches his IPL franchise even after retiring from all forms of international cricket. CSK fans and Dhoni lovers wait all year long to see him batting and keeping wicket. However, Dhoni had been demoted to a lower order in the batting line-up during the previous IPL season.

Wanting to see Dhoni bat more often, a CSK fan asked Ashwin if it is possible if Dhoni plays in the top order for CSK during IPL 2025. Ashwin, wasting no time, dialed the right handle on his Instagram story to inquire about the possibility of Dhoni playing in the CSK top order. “@chennaiipl ok huh?” Ashwin asked. It is now being speculated that Ashwin shares the fans’ desire to see Dhoni bat more often for CSK.

Ashwin praised Dhoni’s leadership qualities

Talking about Dhoni’s personality as a captain, Ashwin recently praised Dhoni during a Sky Sports Cricket podcast

“He does the basics well and most of the other captains miss the basic elemental stuff. It makes the game seem that much harder for them.” Ashwin said.

Speaking about his attitude as captain, he further added: “Never, for example, if I gave the ball to the bowler, the first thing I would say is ‘take your field and bowl to the field.’ I hated that when a hitter came to bat and you had a loose throw.”

Ashwin was part of the Indian team during the World Cup 2011 i Champions Trophy 2013both titles won by the Men-in-Blue under Dhoni’s leadership.
