Rapper Cardi B files for divorce ‘today’

Less than a week later Cardi B seemed to have allowed a cooler view to prevail in her current situation with a stranger’s husband Displacementrap star “Bodak Yellow” takes off his gloves again.

The Bronx native took to X on Wednesday to post some fiery messages in response to the Migos alum calling her out for seemingly focusing more on men than her music career.

After reminding him that she’s been living the single life, Cardi went one step further and demanded that he sign the divorce papers immediately.

Cardi B and Offset’s latest encounter on X began with the “Blame It On Set” singer hinting that his soon-to-be-ex-wife has been acting rowdy in public to make him look like the bad guy.

“Stop limiting these (people) to look like (a) him,” he wrote, before labeling her a “fire (woman)” who “(releases) good music but (you) focus on the d-ck .”

Quoting Offset’s message, Cardi replied that she has every right to live her best life single.

“So dating because I’m single means I’m just worried about the d-ck?” – she asked. “You sound like a dummy,” Cardi continued, “trying to be fake nice after doing what you wanted to do in the first place.”

She then accused Offset of having similar ulterior motives for his actions.

“(You’re) trying to push a narrative on these people,” she stated.

Cardi then ended her response with a firm plea. “Sign the papers today.”

Cardi went silent on the social media app after filing for divorce, but Offset was ready to announce his terms right there for all to see.

“If (you) share custody, I’ll do it,” he replied, according to the transcript And! News.

“(You) don’t worry (about) the music,” Offset suggested, “(you) worry about the d–ck. Everyone can see it and all (you) talk about (d-k). They burned down the clubs – no music, nothing. Just a drama.”

In his latest outburst, he hinted that Cardi B misses him more than she let on, calling her “lonely and miserable.”

“(The last 10 places, (you) mentioned me,” he continued, noting Cardi’s recent discussions with fans via X Spaces. “Bend over, mama.”

Most of Cardi and Offset’s posts were deleted soon after.

Today’s tension between the hip-hop heavyweights is a stark contrast to what was between them last week.

On Dec. 14, Offset’s 33rd birthday, Cardi revealed in another X Spaces that they were both waving the white flag.

“We’ve been peaceful for over a week, so we like the energy,” she revealed.

“We don’t fight. We don’t really talk,” she admitted later, “so I think we’re getting to a point (where) we’re really healthy co-parenting.

The former couple even publicly showed off their temporary peace treaty in Miami, where they celebrated Offset’s birthday together. Cardi admitted that the peace between them made her “really happy.”

“In the last three months, it’s been drama, it’s been controversy, it’s been crazy,” she said.

“But it’s been about eight days this week where it’s been drama-free, it’s not stupid,” Cardi continued, “it’s getting to the point (where) everybody’s going healthy.”

In a show of emotional clarity, Cardi opened up earlier this year about how she and Offset share equal challenges in their marriage.

“The answer to getting back together is not a good night at the club and banging all night,” she admitted after spending New Year’s together.

“We need to work on our damn thing. We need to work on communication,” she continued. “There are things he has to work on, there are things I have to work on.”

However, she admitted that despite their problems, they still have a lot of respect for each other.

“It’s not even about love,” Cardi explained.

“We are best friends. And it’s like, ‘OK. Well, there was a time when I didn’t have a best friend, or I didn’t have a support system.’ It’s not even like, ‘How do you leave a partner?’ How do you stop talking to your best friend?”

No matter how things end between them, Cardi B and Offset know the most important factor is the happiness of their three children: Culture, 6, Wave, 3, and a third girl, born in September.

As reported on ExplosionCardi proved how serious she is about being a mother after someone sent child protective services to her home as a “joke” in October.

“We care deeply about our children,” she said on Instagram Live later that month.

“If you’re a boy, my kid’s father will beat the hell out of you, you’re a woman, me and (my sister) Hennessy will beat the hell out of you,” she threatened, “because you’re playing with my damn kids.”
