TikTok star Alix Earl rose to fame on the social media platform, but now it seems she’s worried that her star power will fade away without it.

The 24-year-old University of Miami graduate took to the app to share an emotional video in which she expressed her worries about what life would be like without TikTok.

The app has over 7.2 million lifestyle subscribers who enjoy watching her Get Ready With Me videos and makeup tutorials. However, now that the app is under threat of being shut down, the social media sensation has taken the time to express his disappointment and sadness over the app’s possible shutdown.

“I can’t sleep. I am so scared of this. I’m so sad that I think all the memories are just going away,” she said – she told her subscribers. I love you guys so much and I just feel like I need to just check in with you right now.”

“I’m freaking out because I’m like, ‘Where am I going to scroll?'” she asked the camera. “It’s so much fun talking to everyone here.”

In addition to publishing her content, she admitted that she likes to “consume it too” and doesn’t know how to live without the app. It should be noted that she is also active on Instagram, where she has 3.8 million followers.

“Guys, this is not okay,” she said. “Someone is going to have to put me in a mental hospital. What the hell is going on? Can we all just hang out?”

“It’s going to be the worst day ever,” she added, likely referring to Sunday, when the app is due to be shut down.

However, it’s worth noting that the Biden administration has made it clear that it has no plans to shut down the app over the holiday weekend. Instead, they plan to wait until Monday, when President Trump officially takes office, to decide whether or not to actually ban TikTok.

In a “Get Ready With Me” video compilation.Alix Earl has officially said goodbye to the platform. “Dear TikTok, thank you for changing my life and many others. I started posting here my freshman year of college (with) hopes of getting a platform,” she wrote in the caption. “I posted almost every day for three years and it was when I was at the lowest point of my life that somehow my videos started to take off.”

“I realized that this platform is so unique that I don’t need to be ‘perfect’ or a curator like that,” she continued. “I started sharing my acne journey and starting Accutane. Although I didn’t want to post my bare skin online, the overwhelming positivity helped me in ways I never imagined. From not wanting to leave the house to being able to share my insecurities with millions created such a special bond with you guys.”

While there are many social media platforms available, the social media sensation felt that TikTok is “a place where I can be my true self and share all aspects of my life. I’ve featured my friends, family, relationships, mental health issues, school, advice, fashion travel, recipes, disorders … and quite a few hangovers,” she admitted.

“The fact that I can meet any of you and we instantly feel like best friends is the most special thing in the world to me,” she continued. “Even though I’ve tried to be the big sister here, you guys have really helped me become a better person, grow up and learn faster than I could have ever imagined. I’ll always be here… but when it’s no longer on TikTok, I wanted to say thank you.”

“I still can’t fathom how real any part of my life is, and it’s this app that has allowed me to make best friends with millions of you around the world. I’ll always host the party… just maybe somewhere else,” she added, though she didn’t reveal which other social media website she might be headed to.

This was announced by President-elect Donald Trump on Saturday NBC News“Meet the Press” moderator Kristen Welker said he will “most likely” extend TikTok’s 90-day ban from a potential ban after he takes office on Monday, January 20.

While he has yet to make a final decision, he said, “The 90-day extension is something that will likely be done because it is appropriate. You know, by the way. We have to look at it carefully. This is a very big situation.”

“If I decide to do it, I’ll probably announce it on Monday,” he added.
