Poland president says Trump’s ‘comeback’ reverses the ‘hurt, damage’ done by Biden

Polish President Andrzej Duda expresses his hope for clear and effective international relations during the second administration of President Donald Trump.
“I belong to those European politicians and those European observers who look very calmly at the return of President Donald Trump to the White House,” President Duda said. FOX Business’ Maria Bartiromo through an interpreter at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
In his first week in the Oval Office, Trump has reversed many policies developed under President Joe Biden, including export restrictions. artificial intelligence chips to Poland.
“In Poland, we feel that we have been hurt by this decision,” Duda said, “and there is deep disappointment with these policies and decisions of President Biden and his administration.”

“As a result of that decision, Poland appeared among the countries that are not in the first line of allies of the United States. So we were pushed to the second or even the third tier of countries that are not very trusted by the United States. So that’s my feeling, too the feeling that it caused some pain and damage here in Poland,” he expanded.

Duda met with Trump last April in New York, where they had a “very long discussion” about the expected foreign policy changes between the two countries.
Speaking on “Mornings with Maria” on Friday, Duda said he was looking forward to the “continuation” of Trump’s “experience” gained during his first four years as president.

“He made very clear arguments about the relationship United States and European countriesespecially those rich countries, those very rich countries. And the arguments presented by President Donald Trump are very logical and very simple,” said Duda.
“And I believe Donald Trump is right.”

Poland and the US share similar views on internal border security, according to Duda, and both countries are “determined” to end it. Russia’s war against Ukraine which started about three years ago.
“[Trump] “He’s very determined and he has a very unusual understanding of politics. So if he says it, I believe it will come true,” Duda said.
