Play God of War: Ragnarök and more soon with PlayStation Plus

God of War: Ragnarok has won dozens of awards since its release in 2022, including the award for Best Narrative at the Games Awards that year. If you’ve never played the myth-based action game before, now’s your chance because Sony is bringing the game to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers on January 21st.

PlayStation Plus is Sony’s version of Xbox Game Passand offers subscribers a large and ever-expanding library of games. There are three levels of PlayStation Plus — Essential ($10 per month), Extra ($15 per month) and Premium ($18 per month) — and each gives subscribers access to games. However, only Extra and Premium tier subscribers have access to the PlayStation Plus game catalog.

Here are the games subscribers can play soon with PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium. You can also check out the games Sony has added to the service December.

God of War: Ragnarok

God of War (2018) was a titan of the PlayStation 4 era and according to CNET review the sequel is “a bigger story with better graphics and more varied combat.” In the game, you traverse the Nine Realms of Norse mythology as Kratos and his son Atreus in search of answers before the end of the world. You’ll battle monsters and Norse gods in mythical landscapes as the threat of Ragnarök grows.

This spin-off of the popular Like a Dragon series puts you back in the shoes of the series’ original protagonist Kazuma Kiryu. He has been living in secret since faking his death in 2016 and has worked as an agent for a secret organization of politicians. But when a smuggling operation turns into a trap, Kiryu is put at odds with someone who wants to get him out of hiding.

If you have played Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and you want more of the famous archaeologist, try this game. PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers will travel to Sudan, Panama and other areas as you search for the staff used by Moses to part the Red Sea. Sony has improved this version of the game with upscaled rendering, quick save and more. So grab your whip and get ready to whack some Nazis.

These are a few games that PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers will be able to play soon, and those subscribers will be able to play these games as well.
