Details of Peter Thomas’ imprisonment

TMZ reports that Peter Thomas has been sentenced to 18 months in federal prison for failing to pay more than $2.5 million in employment taxes. Baltimore flag Thomas pleaded guilty last summer in federal court in Charlotte to “one count of failure to pay taxes on trust funds,” it showed.

US District Judge Kenneth D. Bell Sr. sentenced Thomas to two years of supervised release and ordered him to pay back the money. TMZ claims Peter owes the IRS nearly $650,000 in trust taxes from his Charlotte employees’ wages. He is also accused of failing to pay more than $2.5 million in multi-state employment taxes over six years. The Baltimore Banner adds that between 2017 and 2023, the “RHOA” alum managed businesses such as Club ONE CLT, Sports ONE, Bar One Miami Beach and Bar One Baltimore, where more than $1.7 million was taken from his earnings employees without payment According to the federal prosecutor’s office, the IRS.

The restaurateur admitted that he pleaded guilty and owed “10 years of withholding taxes” on his business.
