Patrick Mahomes watched football while his wife Brittany prepared to give birth
After announcing the birth of their third child, a star quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs Patrick Mahomes shared information about how he spent his time in the hospital.
Immediately after the beginning of the new year Patrick and Brittany Mahomes on Sunday, January 12, their second daughter, Golden Rae, was born.
According to to Sports Illustratedduring the press conference, Patrick revealed that he was able to sneak into playoff practice while Brittany was preparing to give birth.
“I’m just supporting, you know. Brittany crushed him. It was cool to welcome another girl into our family and see how my other kids respond to her,” Patrick said.
“It was cool that football was on TV when I was in hospital so I got to watch a bit,” he said.
“Brittany was kind enough to let us watch football while she was getting ready to give birth to our second daughter.”

Patrick and Brittany are also parents to 3-year-old Sterling Sky and 2-year-old Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mohameds III.
Patrick was able to attend the birth of this third child after the Chiefs had clinched the No. 1 seed in the AFC, giving them a first-round bye in the playoffs.
“It was cool that we said goodbye,” he told reporters. according to the KSBU“just because you can really focus on just being in the hospital and being in the moment.”
“It’s a special moment that many dads and mums have experienced and you don’t forget it. So I was glad I could be there and support in the best possible way.”
After Chiefs head coach Andy Reid joked that “once you’ve got three, four and five it’s easy”, Patrick, who Reid described as a “great” father, said he was “good with three now”.
