Past Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee burned his old team out Sunday after watching them lose to the New York Giants and eliminate them from playoff contention.
Indianapolis scored three runs and allowed four Drew Lock touchdown passes in a 45-33 loss. The Colts fell to 7-9 on the season and were officially out of contention.
McAfee wrote terrible writing In X, he criticized the organization, tore into those trying to “run him out of town” and announced he would not be renewing his season tickets.

“A blind man could see the red flags on this team.. Work ethic questions, good teams NEVER have.. Preparation commitment questions, good teams NEVER.. Late to meetings, NEVER happens on good teams.. Late// skipping treatment, good teams NEVER happen.. franchise QB (Anthony Richardson) is ejected.. 13th down.. in the red zone.. because he was tired…NEVER in the history of the NFL,” McAfee wrote.
“That’s literally the only thing you have to tell anybody (who knows ball) and they can tell you everything about this team. . . .”
He wrote that if a franchise player leaves in the middle of a game because he’s tired, the “immediate response” would be the team’s “lack of luck.”
“And to no one’s surprise.. this was the answer from anyone who played/coached the game before, but.. Colts blogs and fans who have covered the Colts since 2020 and more recently knew better than anyone… Attacking me personally and trying to run me out of town,” McAfee continued.

“When I say Joe Flacco gives us a better chance to win than AR right after AR.. I’d say whatever backup QB is on the roster. Your team can’t be like that. . . it just can’t be.. and more to a large extent, AR thought it was okay to do so.It is a matter of culture, a losing attitude emanating from a building built by adults.
“I have no idea how they’re going to fix it. I don’t think it’s like a light switch. ‘Okay, we’re going to be Professors now,’ but… maybe it is, but what do I know?”
“Oh wait….how about all of this. I knew it.”
McAfee added that he will not be renewing his season tickets and hopes the team can get back to winning ways.
“As a multiple year season ticket holder (not renewing).. and someone who actively tries to add to this great city on a daily basis. I hope they become a good franchise again.. this city deserves it.. OGs in the Colts building they deserve it (equipment managers, coaches, ticket sales, PR, sales).your unwarranted arrogance, laziness and lack of professionalism have led to ANOTHER early strike…which is probably what many of you are hoping for.
“I don’t speak for the city.. and I don’t speak for all the former Colts players because I was just a punter.. I’ve been nominated for the HOF 3 times now, but still.. I’m speaking from my own perspective.. I’m not part of this group I’ve never seen a greater waste of opportunity/talent/money.”
