Pardoned Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht thanks Trump, calls president ‘a man of his word’

Ross Ulbricht, founder of the Anonymous online marketplace Silk Road, thanked the president Donald Trump In a video posted, a visibly emotional Ulbricht praised Trump for being “a man of his word” and thanked the president for giving him the “amazing blessing” of freedom.

“I’m so, so grateful to have my life back, to have my future back, to have this second chance,” Ulbricht said in the video. He also said the apology was “an important moment for everyone, everywhere, who loves is freedom and who cares about second chances.”

Trump announced on his social media platform that he called Ulbricht’s mother to inform her of her son’s pardon, saying it was done “in honor of her and the liberal movement that supported me so strongly.”

“Some of the hard workers working to convict him were some of the same lunatics involved in the modern weapon of war against me,” Trump wrote.
