OnePlus 13R: A close look at the $600 flagship phone

The OnePlus 13R is a $600 flagship phone that’s less than $900 OnePlus 13 in part by using last year’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and skipping wireless charging.

The OnePlus 13R has three cameras on the back, including a 50-megapixel wide camera, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera.

The OnePlus 13R has a 6.78-inch display with a resolution of 2780×1264 pixels. Its display also operates at a 120Hz refresh rate.

I found the OnePlus 13R to be particularly great at gaming, as last year’s Qualcomm processor is still powerful enough to run games at their highest graphics settings. However, the phone can get hot.

The OnePlus 13R includes a 55-watt SuperVooc charger, which is pretty fast for phones in this price range.

The 55-watt power adapter is thick compared to smaller and slower power adapters.

The OnePlus 13R runs Android 15 and comes with OnePlus’ OxygenOS 15 skin.

The OnePlus 13R provides several AI photography features, mainly aimed at improving the quality of photos or removing objects from them. There’s also an AI notes assistant.

The OnePlus 13R includes a physical switch to quickly toggle between silent, vibrate and ring.
