“North” Season 2: 5 questions about bending the mind we need, replied asap

Northern, Apple’s Twisty Sci-Fi thriller is back. With two episodes remaining and eight remaining (the season finale will hit the strime on March 21), the expectations are through the roof that the series can still deliver the goods. So far, even if we still question everything.

The first season of Apple TV Plus drama He finished with a strict on a rock that left the internet offended for everything – from makeshift musical dance numbers to baby goats. (What is the deal with Baby Goats ??) This mystery box needs unfolding, so – in the name of Kier Eagan – Cnet, it dares to do just that.

During the official day of the show, I talked with the star of the series Adam Scott, director and executive producer Ben Stiller, and the creator of the series and showroom Dan Erickson over Zoom. Their answers hinted at what was coming in the rest of Season 2.

Why did the Macrodata refinery team decide to break away?

We know that Mark (Scott) has chosen North as he grieves the loss of his wife and Heli (Brit Lower) joined for her family relationship with lumin )??

We have seen very little from Dylan’s life, but we know that he lives with his three children and seem to have a decent relationship. Irving is obsessed with the elevator to the test floor and lives closed life with a dog named Radar.

When premiered first of the prime minister, the audience is left to wonder what it will take to separate their own minds If such technology existed. What trauma or toxic life would motivate such a choice?

Each character certainly has his heartbreaking story behind his decision to be interrupted and it is almost certain that we will receive answers to this question in Season 2.

Is it really a living jerma?

One of the biggest revelations of Season 1 came at the end of Episode 7, Defiant Jazz when we learn that G -Ja Casey – The Welnes Director of Lumon – looks just like the wife of Outie Mark Gemma (Diichman), whom everyone outside the world outside He believes he was killed in a car accident.

How the hell, Lumo pulled this one? Was the dead Jemma a fake or a look? Is Lumn in the practice of cloning people?

The members of the cast have debunked this latest theory in the aforementioned video on YouTube, but it is clear that D -Ja Casey (whose Innie is alive in only 108 hours) is much more different than the other severed workers.

A theory of fans suggests that Jemma is in a coma from the car accident and her version of Innie is only able to wake up from time to time. But it does not show physical indications of a serious incident.

The gemma/ms. Casey Mystery – and the ideas she has ignited – It seems one of the biggest challenges to writing the show. This mystery will surely be addressed in Season 2.

“He feels as if he has to help his appearance and bring Jemma somehow at the door,” the actor said. “But this is where his emotional connections and his emotional interests are? The really interesting thing about Innie and The Outie Mark this season is how much their interests are aligned. At what moment they will either gather or move further?”

Why is Harmony Cobel so obsessed with Lumon Industries?

As a manager on the split floor of Lumo, Harmony Kobel (Patricia Arquette) takes his work extremely seriously. It is similar to a cult in its devotion to the founder of Lumon, Kier Aigon and the nine basic principles. Her home basement includes a kier sanctuary and personal artifacts from her mother Charlotte.

The harmony is unsettled, like Seth Milchik (tramel Tilman) and Doug Granner. Yet, unlike the two, she maintains a separate person in the outside world – Mark’s neighbor, Mrs. Selvig, who makes brutal lavender cookies and constantly turns the recycling of Mark and the trash bins.

One of the topics of the first season of the show is the conflict of harmony with the Lumo board for “reintegration”, the controversial practice of unifying workers’ personalities again after the brain chip is removed. The board insists that reintegration is impossible, while harmony has first -hand evidence that Piti Kilmer has achieved it (before killing it).

After maintaining the attempt to suicide Heli secret, the board launches the harmony it reacts by throwing away its basement and collapsing at its sanctuary, which we now see holding a fan tube and a medical bracelet that reads “Charlotte Cobel” with a date of birth and date of birth of March 17, 1944.

Harmony and Mrs. Selvig dress in a way that covers their necks that are never seen. Can the harmony be Charlotte, who has tracheotomy or other neck surgery? Is there a personal investment in reintegration?

We can continue, but you understand. The questions about Harmony Cobel abound and it is almost certain that we will learn much more from her story in Season 2.

Why does Irring paint this corridor and elevator?

When we see Outie Irving, we learn that he likes to listen to Motorhead and repeatedly draws the elevator to the Lumon test floor. Dominated by thick black, these paintings fill in Outie Irving’s home and explain why Innie’s Izing nails are full of a dark rifle.

But what is the relationship of In Inzing with this empty corridor and elevator? Was he on the test floor or lost one of it? We never see him in this lomon elevator. In fact, the only person we see using this elevator is G -Casey.

A fan theory Claims Ina Erving has visited the test floor and has been “reset” by Lumo several times, which can explain why he says he has been there for three years, but his badge shows nine.

John Turburo of Irving personally “debunked” this theory in a CCTVS Perhaps the trauma of the test floor has leaked into his outer person. Or Outie Irving is trying to send a message through his unconscious to Innie Irving?

How much of the sociopop is Helena Aigan, anyway?

As it became clear her story in Season 1, Heli wanted nothing to do with Lumo. In fact, she threatened to escape self -harm. Things didn’t go on her path. In one of the more brutal scenes from Season 1, Outiie Helly sends a video message to Innie Helly, saying, “I’m a person. You’re not. I make decisions.”

During the finals of the season, we find that Outiie Helly is Helena Aigan, the daughter of the current CEO of Lumon Industries Jame Aigan, and has undergone compensation as a PR campaign to ensure that the separation practice remains legal. During our chat to increase with Erickson, it was annoyed that maybe Outie Helly was drinking too much from Lumon Kool-Aid.

“The stories feel more close to the true, authentic version of themselves for each of the characters, partly, because they wake up like a slightly empty slate,” Erickson said. “Somehow she (Helly) is a more true version of this person than they might probably.”

Instead of focusing solely on things inside Lumon, which is why it plays mostly a season, it sounds like Severance Season 2 will expand its scope and explore the homes and privacy of MDR ottiies.

As for Innies, they will fight a crisis of collective identity.

“How divided they are too a matter,” Stiller said. “How much does this barrier really really divide your emotions, feelings and desires? When you see an Innie, which is so unhevinen than Outie, the idea for me is sometimes from your childhood, your inner child.”

Given that our MDR characters work with childhood thinking, their journey can feel much more selfless. According to Erickson, everything will get wighter and more terrible.

Now that Innies have seen a piece of the outside world, what consequences are on the horizon? “No win without discounts and no pain,” Erickson irritates.

“We wanted to see what would happen to the characters after they somehow attacked the bear,” he added. “What happens when the bear comes back?”
