Overcoming personal problems

Nikki Bella’s confident and radiant appearance was a welcome sight after what has been an incredibly challenging few months. On August 29, her husband Artem Chigvintsev, who is not living now, was detained on suspicion of domestic violence in Napa County. However, as a result, the prosecutor decided not to open a criminal case.
A few weeks later, on September 11, Bella officially filed for divorce, requesting sole legal and physical custody of their 4-year-old son Mateo, with supervised visitation rights for Chigvintsev. In her statement, Bella also asked that spousal support be terminated for both parties.

Nicky speaks up

In his first public statement since the news broke, Nikki Bella has opened up about why she decided to drop out of the spotlight during such a turbulent period.
“I disconnected from social media, from the world, and I just knew I had to because I’m a mom first and my son’s protection and privacy is the most important thing. So I was going to do my best for that and then just need some healing space to face the trauma and all that,” Bella shared.
Reflecting on the emotional impact of the situation, she continued: “It was very difficult. My heart is broken. It’s sad. You know, you dream of this family, and you have this incredible love, and it just goes the other way.. And you go from a great love story to a terrible one, and I never saw it ending.”

Nikki Bella talked about her relationship with Artem

Discussing the energy she invested in trying to fix others, she encouraged listeners to recognize this pattern early, before it became a problem.
“When you’re in a relationship that you’re fixing, you have to find a way out,” she said on her podcast. “Because trying to fix someone won’t bring love, happiness, or change. You’ll honestly wear yourself out eventually and just be bored. And it hit me really hard because I’m definitely in that space and this new era of mine in 2025 is not getting any better. I will lead. I will help. I will support. I will love, but I will not fix it.”
She later said, “God will come to them and help them get on that path.”
