Nicki Glazer delivered her 2025 Golden Globes monologue 93 times

Nikki Glaser doesn’t play around when it comes to her preparation Golden Globe hosting a concert.
“93,” Glazer, 40, said And! News on the red carpet before the awards ceremony, how many times she practiced her monologue. “(Tonight) I will be telling some version of this for the 94th time. I mean, it’s still changed even from the last time I told it to now, so we’re always making edits, trying to flesh out the jokes, trying to find the right note and tone for the night. But a lot of work has been put into it.”
Although she’s practiced her line nearly 100 times, Glazer wants to be clear: There’s plenty of room for improvisation, and anything can happen at the 82nd annual Golden Globes, which will air on CBS in Sunday, January 5th at 8:00 PM ET. .
“I don’t want people to think, ‘Oh, she’s just reciting some monologue.’ I practice so much, so when I’m out there, I’m out of the book and I can just be in it,” she said. “And that’s when things will start to come out that were not planned. And now I know it so well that I can be myself there.”
Although this is her first time hosting the Globes, the comedian isn’t used to commanding an audience: Glazer went viral late last year thanks to her performance on Netflix Roast Tom Bradyand she has been performing comedy acts for more than two decades.
“I feel so ready,” she said on the red carpet. “I can’t wait to perform. The nerves could not stand it yet. I just finished the rehearsal, I feel so comfortable. I’m just like, “God, I can’t wait to tell this to a room full of people.” It’s going to be a lot of fun.”
There are heartthrob lovers and 2025 nominees in this room Timothée Chalamet and Glen Powellwhich Glazer believes might “trigger something new in my head” if she sees them in the audience during the show.

It’s not that they think they’re better than me, it’s just that I rarely run into these people, so I stand there and it amazes me that Angelina Jolie must listen to me for nine minutes.”
Glazer’s 93 workouts included nine performances in and around Los Angeles just days before the show.
“Not every host does that,” she said The Hollywood Reporter about its preparation on Thursday, January 2. “I’m lucky enough to be a comedian who can go and find these places to rehearse in front of a live audience, and I believe my audience won’t have a joke to tell anybody.”
She continued, “it was a really collaborative process. I go on stage and I’m just like, “Hey guys, do you mind if I do my set?” and everyone is very excited. They feel part of this interesting, secret process because they are. And I’m just like, “If you laugh at a joke tonight, and then you hear the same joke on Sunday night when you watch the Globes, you can literally say, ‘I told her to joke,’ because you did!” »
