Musk is confronted with neighbors in Austin’s exclusive suburb
Elon Musk may have a significant fan base, but residents of the high quality suburb of West Lake Hills, Texas, are not impressed by their neighboring celebrity, Reports The New York TimesS Instead, home musk worth $ 6 million, purchased in 2022, became the center of battle after his team erected an unauthorized 16-foot chain fence, installing a metal gate and mounted out cameras.
“I call this place Fort Knox,” says Paul Hamer, owner of Tesla and a retired real estate agent who lives on the other side of the street and serves as president of the Association of Home Owners in the neighborhood.
Musk’s security staff, very visibly armed, and their vehicles have broken the calm street, and the prospect of returning from Washington is worried about more than Musk’s failure to obtain construction permits. “If you follow him in the news at all, he is always guilty of building things and then asked for a solution later,” Hamer complained to a planning meeting.
For Hemer, the closeness of the billionaire can come at the largest price. According to the Times, Musk’s security team once announced it to the police, claiming he was naked on the street. Hemer, who flew drones over Musk’s house, seeking violations of the ordinance, counters in his own property in his underwear.
