Musk has admitted that he takes a controversial weight-loss drug that RFK Jr. opposes
Billionaire entrepreneur and senior adviser to President-elect Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Trump emphasized that he sees the benefits of a controversial class of weight-loss drugs after his running mate, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., said the new fad class was bad for Americans’ health.
“Ozempic Santa” Musk posted a picture on Christmas X, previously on Twitter, of himself dressed as Santa Claus in front of a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, but without his signature big belly. “Like Cocaine Bear, but with Santa and Ozempic!”
In a later post, Musk revealed that he was taking on a branded version called Mounjaro, but said the difficult name “didn’t have the same ring to him.”

Given Kennedy’s opposition to semaglutide, Musk’s social media post about the holidays turned heads. Originally developed as a diabetes drug, semaglutide has become more widely used in recent years for its appetite-suppressing effects.
“There’s a big push to sell it to the American people,” Kennedy said of the semaglutide drug Ozempic when asked about his thoughts on the drug by Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld in October. “They make this drug in Denmark, and in Denmark they don’t recommend it for diabetes or obesity. They recommend dietary and behavioral changes.”
“They’re hoping to sell it to Americans because we’re too stupid and addicted to drugs,” Kennedy added. He also concluded that the United States could solve it obesity crisis In America “overnight” they could get better quality food and ate it.

“The first line of response has to be lifestyle. It has to be eating well and making sure you don’t get fat,” Kennedy told CNBC during a brief interview at the New York Stock Exchange. Obesity drugs like Ozempic “have a place” in the American medical community.
