Muddling over the cold – bionicoldguy

At the beginning of last week I got some good rides. Especially I enjoyed our demanding group ride on Tuesday on the hills east of Gilroy. It has no really long climb, just of them. I was tied to the end, with Electric Assist (on my upright position). So we were amazed at those without the assistance who stiffened. I learned a fun new term for bikes without assistance- “acoustic bikes”.

Later in the week, around Thursday, I began to feel a little under the weather. It is difficult to find out whether it is only allergies at this time of year, but then I also started to receive a symptom of chills and nights and then a slight fever, so I suppose it is cold. I felt a little better yesterday, so hopefully I’m kicking it. So for a few days until yesterday I just made easy local rides. I also do yoga and stretch myself at night for relaxation and keep it up if they really get sick. Soon I will restore longer and heavier driving and strength training. Non -maintenance, like this, does not bother me, as it was before, especially when I am not training for anything specific.
