MTA bus driver rescued after dangling from Bronx Parkway

How did the MTA Bronx bus end up on the highway?
According to New York Post, an MTA bus driver lost control, missed a turn and crashed into a stone wall on the Henry Hudson Parkway around 8:40 a.m. on Friday, January 17. X (formerly Twitter) The New York Post shows a bus teetering on the edge with huge chunks of rock strewn across the road.
ABC 7 News reports that there were no passengers on the bus as it had just started its route to Manhattan. A driver had difficulty going around a parked car on the Henry Hudson Parkway. After passing a parked vehicle, the bus pulled over to the side of the road and got stuck between a grassy area and a ditch.
The second bus driver, who was several cars back in heavy morning traffic, offered to help. Taking the wheel to help, the other driver tried to negotiate the tricky curve, but the bus went out of control and crashed into a barrier wall.

Here’s what happened after the MTA bus crash and driver update
Two tow trucks worked on the towing bus to solid ground. The firemen also helped with the work, trans Pix11. Despite the chaos, the police confirmed that they the driver was safely removed from the bus. The 37-year MTA veteran walked away safe and sound.
Additionally, Marcos Soler, chairman of the Yonkers Depot, spoke to ABC 7 News about the horrific incident. Soler said a parked car on the road reduced the space for an MTA bus driver.
“The way the car is angled and parked, it doesn’t fit the curb, so we had a lot of room. Express trains are longer than local trains. So it’s a bit difficult for the express operator to get around because we have 45 feet and the local buses have 40 feet,” Soler explained.
