Microsoft’s Magma AI can manipulate and control robots
Microsoft has just introduced Magma, a new AI model Designed to help robots see, understand and act more intelligently. Unlike the traditional artificial intelligence Models, Magma processes different types of data at once – Microsoft efforts calls for a large jump to “agent AI”. or systems that can plan and perform tasks on behalf of the user.
The model, which uses a combination of vision and language processing, is trained in videos, images, robotic data and interactions between the interface so that it makes it more reduced than previous models.
On its GitHub page, the Microsoft research team outlined how Magma can perform tasks, such as how it can manipulate robots and navigate user interfaces such as click buttons.
To develop technology, the company partnered with researchers at the University of Maryland, the University of Wisconsin-Medison and the University of Washington.
Starting comes when Tech Giants competes to develop AI agents that can automate more aspects of everyday life. Google progresses language models focused on robotics while Openai is designed to process secular tasks such as reservations, ordering grocery and completing forms by entering, clicking and scrolling to a specialized browser.
