Microsoft CEO says up to 30% of the company code is written by AI
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said that 20% -30% of the code within the company’s repositories was “written by software” that means AI-during a fire with Meta Executive Director Mark Zuckerberg at the Meta Llamacon Conference on Tuesday.
Nadela gave the figure after Zuckerberg asked approximately how much of the Microsoft code was generated today. Microsoft CEO said the company sees mixed results in AI generated code in different languages, with greater progress in Python and less in C ++.
CTO Microsoft Kevin Scott earlier said it expects 95% of the total code to be generated By 2030
When Nadela casts the question back to Zuckerberg, Meta CEO said she did not know how much of Meta’s code was generated by AI.
When calling Microsoft Rival’s profit last week, CEO Sundar Pichai said AI generated More than 30% of the company code. Of course, it is not clear exactly how Microsoft and Google measure what is generated by AI against not, so these figures are best taken with grain salt.
