Michel Trachtenberg starred on Cult Classic’s children’s TV that made us all a little more amazing
In the 1990s, frankly, there was a rather idyllic time to be a child. Social media did not exist yet, so we were still relatively cut off from the horrors of the world (on the borders we learned from our parents, or perhaps a clip in night news), leaving children just to be children. It was also a time when the children first were going to see themselves in the media-not only on the parents approved by the parents such as the “Mickey Mouse Club”, but also the diversion, stupid side of things on Nickelodeon. Nickelodeon was at a truly designed for his young audience, with shows like Great scared “Are you afraid of darkness?” and stupid and Gross sketch series “All” Taking what the kids wanted seriously. And one of the best shows on Nickelodeon was “Pitta and Pete’s Adventures”.
“Pitta and Pete’s Adventures” followed the brothers Pete (Michael K. Marone) and the little Pete (Danny Tamberelli) when they moved in their fictional north -east American suburbs. The series seemed to be near our own reality, as there were some slightly strange things such as Preteen Big Pete, which had a tattoo on their hand, and their mother had a metal plate in his head that could pick up radio signals. The characters themselves were also unique, and they entered the best friend of the little Pete, Nona Played The late Michel Trachtenberg. Friendship of Nona and Pete was something really special and important, showing the young audience that gender should not have played a role in relationships – and perhaps even more important that good friends always supported each other’s quirks.
Nona Michel Trachtenberg was an inspiration for other strange goals
I will be transparent: Trachtenberg was only two years older than me, so I felt a deep kinship from Nona when I first saw “Pitt and Pete’s Adventures” as a kid. I never felt a girl (about what I wrote before In the context “Star hike: Deep Space Nine”) And it was hard to fit, and most of my close friends were boys. When Nona first appeared on the premiere of 2 season “Pete and Pit”, she felt a kind of spirit -an amazing ball, which was happy to carry the acting composition from the way he felt and who seems to be thinking about it. She really “allowed her to fly” and urged both Pats to do the same. (She also drew petunia in her acting warehouse to be more like a big pit, and what a child could not contact the vision of tattoos and thinking they are the coolest?)
Trachtenberg continued to play Hariet in “Harrieto” Nickeladon, another slightly unconventional female role, which helped the girls realize that they could become themselves and become successful, but it was her time as a non -one, which actually meant for many millennia. As part of the strange strange crew “Pitta and Pete’s Adventures” she helped the children accept who they are, and interesting about the great, wonderful world. She also helped the little Pete become a more complicated character because his Another best friend, Arti, was probably The fruits of his imagination. The best part is that, despite the fact that it developed bin on a small pit (a completely normal thing!), Their friendship has always remained platonic. Having spent their early childhood, seeing only women and girls as potential love interests for men’s leading, it was really refreshing that Nona and little Pete were just the best friends.
Pitta and Pitt’s adventures helped make us all more awesome
There were many wonderful shows that took active, wild ideas about the children’s audience in the 1990s, but nothing was used in the real experience of growing up as “Pete and Pete”. While the intricate events in Wellsville are quite normal, it really fixes the child’s sense and tries to understand the weirdness of the real world. The problems of the characters are serious, even when they were ridiculous, and it was felt that the show understood me, a child who was watching nothing else. Aesthetics and guest stars of the punk and the grunge also did not hurt, which made “Pete and Pete” feel a little brighter and cooler than your usual children’s show. In the end, daddy noon played no one else like Punk -Legend (and “Star Way” veteran igi popAnd the show had a lot of punk, grunge and alt-rock, influenced by the musical tastes of the whole generation … or at least the thick of those who watched “Pete and Pete”.
Trachtenberg has spent an impressive career and has been on some biggest shows in the last few decades, including “Boffi Vampire” and “Gilmore Girls”, but it will always be a little for me. Thank you for reminding us that being awesome is really cool.
