“It’s kind of a strange thing to try to bring a former contestant back as a host, and I was obviously learning along the way. But I loved growing up with Jeopardy! where Alex hosted that show for almost 38 years and people just felt like he was part of their family and there’s no way to replace those shoes,” he continued. “But it’s a great honor and hopefully I’m looking forward to another 37 years when I’m a very, very old man.”
