Although he has received support for his openness about his addiction RHOSLC Season 5, his recent behavior raises questions about his progress.

Robert ran into legal trouble in 2023 when he was arrested for obscenity and left Mary to pick him up from the police station. His struggle with substance abuse was highlighted in Season 5, where he had an emotional conversation with Mary saw her break down because of his revelations.
Until December 2024. Mary provided reliable information about her son’s recovery. “He is doing well. He went to rehab. He was there for 30 days and I said, “No! Please stay longer!’ He says, “I want to stay longer,” she shared. However, Robert’s recent actions indicate that his road to rehab may not be as steady as fans had hoped.
Instagram Rant Causes Backlash
January 12 of this year Robert took to Instagram Stories to post a series of controversial posts. He began with a black screen and white text: “Whoever questions my sobriety is none of your business.”
Afterward, he took a photo of a ceiling fan and wrote, “I love my fans, but there’s a thing called personal space.” While these messages seemed innocuous enough, things quickly changed when Robert called RHOSLC thrown in a violent manner.
“By the way, all those whores on rhwoslc are not people to look up to. Apart from my lovely mother, just because they are ‘rich’ does not mean they are good people,” he wrote.
He then added another post with a black background declaring: “They are all FAKE!”
Screenshots of the posts were shared on Reddit by user u/Extreme-Physics1670, where fans expressed their disappointment and confusion at Robert’s remarks.
Community response
Robert the use of the word “whores” caused considerable backlash. Although some fans admitted that RHOSLC cast can’t always be role models, many have condemned his choice of words as misogynistic and disrespectful.
One Reddit commenter wrote: “You can criticize people without resorting to derogatory terms.” Others questioned how Mary would react to her son’s public outburst, given her protective nature.
At the time of writing, Robert has not addressed the messages or issued an apology.
