Manchester United they have now submitted a bid for a midfielder, with Ruben Amorim willing to strengthen his staff in the January transfer market.

Amorim have now personally requested three signings in the January transfer window, viz Victor OsimhenRonald Araujo and Tyler Dibling, with the coach eager to strengthen his squad in different positions.

Not only that, but the Red Devils are also looking to sign a new midfielder, with Norwegian midfielder Nypan swears thought it was of interest, having been chasing it for several years.

A deal would be relatively cheap as Rosenborg can sanction his exit for a fee of just £10m, which could make him an attractive proposition for United amid significant financial losses.

However, there are signs that Man Utd may be willing to spend big to reshape their squad this winter, as reports from Spain detail that a Man Utd’s initial bid has been made for Ederson dos Santos of Atalanta of Serie A.

Amorim is said to view Ederson as a key piece of the puzzle in strengthening his midfield, and the Red Devils are willing to spend big to win the race for his signature, amid interest from Premier League rivals Manchester City.

United have hinted they may be willing to up their opening bid, with €70m (£58m) and a swap deal involving a player believed to be part of the deal, indicating the determination that they are getting an agreement above the line.

He would be a long-term signing at Old Trafford.

The midfielder is now a priority target for Amorim, so it will be interesting to see how the situation develops as we approach the start of the January transfer window.

Ederson print for Atalanta

It’s no surprise that the Red Devils are prioritizing the signing of the Atalanta star, given how impressive he has been this season, averaging 7.0placing him among the players with the highest performance in the squad.

Casemiro is now in the latter stages of his career, with the careers of both Mason Mount and Manuel Ugarte at Old Trafford yet to take off, so it’s clear that Amorim may need to strengthen in the middle of the park either this winter or in the summer.

As such, Ederson could be a fantastic signing, so it’s exciting that United are taking concrete steps towards a deal.
