LSU football star Colin Hurley injured in car accident on campus: police report
Colin Hurley, freshman quarterback at LSUwas injured in a car accident on campus early Thursday morning, according to a police report.
Baton Rouge Fire Department and LSU Police Hurley, 17, was found unresponsive but breathing near one of the campus entrances shortly before 3 p.m., according to the report.

Hurley is believed to have been driving a Dodge Charger at the time of the crash, which crashed into a tree at South Quad Drive and Highland Road. This was reported by WBRZ.
Hurley is from Jacksonville, Florida. He did not see any action during his true freshman season.

Jolie’s family released a statement Thursday thanking the medical staff and LSU football fans as it supports the player who continues to recover.

“Jolin would like to thank the first responders, the Ladies of Heath Lake and the many Tiger Fans for their care and compassion.” the statement said. “Colin is resting and stable pending further tests and care. We are confident that Colin will make a full recovery from this horrific accident.”

The cause of the crash was not immediately released, but officials said impairment was not believed to be a factor. University officials did not comment further on the situation because Hurley is a minor.
