Lisa Keightley has joined Northern Superchargers as a coach

Lisa Keightley has been appointed head coach of the Northern Superchargers women’s team. Keightley has replaced Daniel Hazell and is hoping to have a successful campaign in The Hundred.

Lisa Keightley has been appointed head coach of the Northern Superchargers women’s team. She will take over from Daniel Hazell after four years. Lisa has a lot of experience in both international and franchise cricket. She is determined to take the team to new heights in The Hundred competition.

“I’m excited to build on the strong foundations laid over the past four years. The Hundred has been a game-changer. It has provided the women’s game with a brilliant platform and given female players the stage they deserve to showcase their skills .

“Headingley has been a brilliant example of how the fans have embraced this exciting competition, and I’m really looking forward to being there next year. Our aim as a team is to win the competition, and with the core team we are working to retain before deadline day, along with the players we’ll be drafting through the Hundred Draft, I’m sure we have the potential to pull it off.” expressed Lisa Keightley.

Yorkshire’s interim CEO Sanjay Patel praised Keightley’s appointment and said

With her extensive experience in women’s international and franchise cricket, Lisa will play a key role in giving us the best chance to succeed and win the competition in 2025. Lisa Keightley’s coaching experience

Keightley has been the head coach of the England women’s cricket team from 2019 to 2022. She has an impressive record of leadership and success. Lisa is the head coach of the Sydney Thunder in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL). She is also part of the coaching staff of Delhi Capitals in the Women’s Premier League (WPL).

Tribute to Dani Hazell

Dani Hazell has led the Northern Superchargers women for four years. Under Hazel’s leadership, the team has shown consistent performances.

Northern Superchargers chairman Kirsty Bashforth extended her thanks and said: “We thank Dani for her valuable contributions and leadership over the past four years. As we enter the fifth year of The Hundred, we look forward to seeing how the Lisa leads the team to greater success.”
