In recent months, LiAngelo has made a strong transition from professional basketball to music. He is the middle child of the Ball brothers, the elder Lontz and the younger LaMelo. Despite both of his brothers playing in the NBA, he was unable to stay on an active roster other than brief stints with the Pistons and Hornets and the Greensboro Swarm of the G League.

For context, “Tweaker” dropped on Jan. 3, and five days later, it reportedly entered Spotify’s top 10 streams, according to ESPN. The song also has more than 1.3 million plays on the same platform.

In the comments section of The Shade Room’s IG, roommates talked about the value of LiAngelo Ball’s deal. The mother of Bal’s son, Miss Nikkii Babycommented, “Yes, I am so happy for my love.”

@1jhead said “Two sons in the NBA, one son lands a music deal, Lavar wins!”

“From one song? Lmao, you know what? damn it,” wrote @ogtropicc.

“I don’t want to hear you keep saying that these labels don’t have any money. They just gave one person $13 million. Gela just saved the rap game lol” @whoisclayjames said.

“N****z really joked that the man is worth 13 million dollars. The Internet is the most powerful force in all of existence.” said @williehyn.

“You all laughed when he didn’t make the league! LAUGH NOW’ wrote @spinninboutkai.

LiAngelo Ball has yet to confirm or deny the alleged record deal on his social media. Congratulations, Ball, on the bag!
