Roger Nores, who is charged with manslaughter for allegedly dumping Liam Payne, has since denied the allegations against him.

After enduring a painful first Christmas without their son, Payne’s family is clinging to hope as five people face charges in connection with his tragic death, suggesting justice may finally be available.

On Monday, it was announced that Judge Laura Brunard had continued the trial against all suspects in Payne’s death after prosecutors presented evidence.

Argentina’s National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office identified the suspects by their initials as hotel manager Gilda Martin, partier Esteban Grassi and Payne’s friend Rogelio “Roger” Nores.
In addition, hotel worker Ezequiel Pereira and waiter Brian Pais face charges of supplying cocaine.

The singer’s friend was accused of negligent homicide

According to Daily Mailprosecutors charged Nores with “criminal liability” for Payne’s death, accusing him of neglecting his duty of care.
They allege that Norris “abandoned” Payne despite “knowing that he was unable to take care of himself, knowing that the defendant suffered from several previous addictions – to alcohol and cocaine – and fully aware of the state of the alcoholic op of the suffering, vulnerability and helplessness in which he found himself.”
Judge Brunyard said Nores “is liable for manslaughter as an executor, given that he assumed the position of guarantor for the family of the deceased.”

Evidence is reported to show that Norris was at the hotel about 50 minutes before Payne’s fatal fall, and the judge stressed that he “should have consulted a doctor” and “should have done so without relying on what they could do hotel staff”.

Twp hotel staff accused of allegedly failing to attend to Liam Payne after he passed out

Prosecutors allege that hotel staff Martin and Grassi saw Payne intoxicated in the lobby but did not provide medical assistance.
The judge noted that Payne was “unable to take care of himself” on the day of his death and that the video showed him being dragged unconscious by “three people”.
She noted that while she believed Nores and the two hotel employees charged with involuntary manslaughter did not intend to cause Payne’s death, their actions and decisions contributed to increasing the danger to his life.
A friend of the singer refutes the statements about the abandonment

In the author’s documentary TMZ In an inquest into Payne’s death, Norres defended his actions, claiming that Payne was “in good spirits and perfectly balanced” on the day he tragically died, rejecting allegations that the singer was under the influence of alcohol or acting erratically before his death falling from the hotel balcony on October 16.
In a statement last month, Norris said: “I never abandoned Liam, I went to his hotel three times that day and left 40 minutes before it happened. When I left, there were more than 15 people in the hotel lobby talking and joking with him. “
He added: “I never imagined something like this would happen.”

Nores, who was not officially Payne’s manager but described him as a dear friend, explained that he had given a statement to the prosecution as a witness the day after the incident, but had not spoken to law enforcement since then.

Waiter denies selling Liam Payne cocaine, claims drugs were for personal use

Waiter Pais, meanwhile, faces charges of supplying cocaine to Payne in the early hours of October 15 and 16. Another defendant, Ezekiel Pereira, is accused of providing cocaine to Payne on October 14.
Paiz, however, maintains that the drugs he provided were not sold for money, and he insists he was only trying to “hang out” with Payne.
Prosecutors allege the cocaine was exchanged for money, presenting evidence such as hotel footage, witness statements and WhatsApp messages.
Those messages, particularly between Paiz and Payne, played a central role in Judge Brunard’s decision to charge Paiz with drug trafficking.
However, Pais’ defense attorney, Fernando Madeo, rejected the charges, calling them “illegal, unfounded and arbitrary.”

Madeo claims Paiz, a devoted One Direction fan, used drugs with Payne but never sold him drugs.
In an interview, the alleged drug dealer admitted to using drugs with Payne but insisted he never took any money from him.
He said: “We did drugs together but I never took drugs from him or took money. I have messages where he offers me money because apparently he’s used to offering money for everything, but I’ve never accepted anything.”
