La Toya Jackson raises concerns about her weight loss in a new video

If you let her Instagram page tell it, La Toya Jackson experiencing TIME in the late 60s. Her latest adventure seems to be in the Middle East. Over the weekend, the 68-year-old shared snaps of herself enjoying Qatar amid the holidays. However, fans in her comments section were more fixated on her appearance, mainly her weight loss, than her resume.

Social media reacted to LaToya Jackson’s Qatar video

In a video La Toya posted on Instagram on Dec. 20, she is seen wearing a black bodysuit accessorized with a large gold chain belt and gold choker necklace. Her light-dark hair was styled straight. Again, it wasn’t her sleek outfit that caught fans’ attention. Instead, her comments section expressed concern about her health amid what appears to be a major weight loss.

“Wow, what’s going on with her” @pretty_cutefinea*s wrote.

@nobodiiie_u_knoweee said “LaToya, honey (and I’m asking this VERY respectfully and lovingly), what’s going on honey? You look TOO frail! I know a lot of people notice, but are afraid to ask or bring it up.”

Meanwhile, @mo_mo_d0210 with hours, people, write, “I see some of you didn’t learn (poop emoticon) from Chadwick Boseman.” Boseman died in 2020 after a silent battle with colon cancer. Before his death, the actor lost a lot of weight, causing viral conversations about what happened behind the scenes.

@marcychinofficial also popped up. “Just leave her alone! Every post you make the same comment! Do you want her to survive? We don’t know if it’s a physical or mental health problem! Just shut up about it. Get used to it or don’t watch it.” said the IG user.

@emoneythebarber warned people: “KEEP CALM ‼️ We don’t know what someone may be dealing with physically or mentally.”

What else do we know?

For weeks, questions and concerns have been floating around under her other IG posts. Last month, an inside source allegedly told Radar Online that Jackson’s family and friends are concerned about the weight change. Additionally, the report suggests that weight loss is associated with death of La Toya Jackson’s brother, Tito Jackson. He died in September at age 70 of a heart attack while driving from New Mexico to Oklahoma. According to The New York TimesJanet Jackson’s spokesperson confirmed the story.

At this time, neither LaToya nor any other family member or friend of Jackson has commented.
