Kia EV4, its first electric sedan, will be available in the US later this year
KIA officially launched EV4, its first electric sedan and hatchback, on the day of Kia EV 2025 in Taragona, Spain. The company first revealed EV4 As a concept in CES last year, along with several other models. Buyers can choose between 58.3 kWh standard and 81.4 kWh long -distance battery options, with a long edge sedan working for 630 km (391.5 miles) with a single charge. Meanwhile, the standard battery sedan can withstand 430 km (267 miles), while the hatchback vehicle has a range of 590 km (366.6 miles). The 150 kW car can pass from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds for the standard battery version and 7.7 seconds for the long range. Both variations have a top speed of 170 km/h.
The EV4 models use the KIA Digital Key 2.0 system, which will allow owners to control certain functions remotely, such as being able to start vehicles engines through the application of 15 different devices. He even works with Apple Watch. Electric vehicles come with the technology to assist the KIA highway, which gives owners access to a driver’s attention warning, assistance to avoid collision forward, lane after assist, intelligent assist for speed limitation and remote parking assistance. There is also an advanced feature called Driving Package F+, which can detect dangerous situations with the help of cameras and radars and can help drivers maneuver with their vehicles to safety.
Kia will produce the EV4 sedan in Korea, where it will originally be available in March. It will produce the five -door hatchback version intended for sale in Europe in the second half of the year in Slovakia. The company has not yet revealed when it will start producing EV4 for the North America market, but assured interested buyers that it is launching the vehicle in the United States.
In addition to the release of EV4, Kia also revealed the EV2 concept (pictured below) during the event. He described the EV2 as a compact and urban, with an expanding interior that has folding second row seats. Kia plans to sell EV2 in "Europe and other regions" Starting in 2026
