Here’s what Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Mark S. Arnold told A$AP Rocky’s mom, Renee Black

According to ComplicatedWednesday, January 22, marked the second day of jury selection in the Rocky trial. Also, this date marked Rocky’s last court appearance. According to the report, the rapper was also joined by his mother and sister Erica B.

During the hearing, Judge Arnold reportedly asked about the new people present. In response, Rocky explained that it was his mom and sister, while his lawyer chimed in:

“You can’t tell which one is mommy, can you?” Joe Tacopino reportedly told the judge.

In turn, Judge Arnold reportedly shared a question for Rocky’s mom.

“You probably had him when you were about 7” He reportedly said. “…You are very beautiful. It’s fixed.”

Afterwards, Judge Arnold’s comment to Rocky’s mom sparked chatter online.

It has been brought to my attention… that out of the one hundred and six (106) people called as potential jurors in A$AP Rocky’s LA trial, there are only 4 black people,” he wrote in part. “… It is absolutely ridiculous that a jury would not be fair and representative to deny A$AP Rocky a fair trial… I am following this trial and calling on the Los Angeles District Attorney to ensure fair and representative justice. to A$AP Rocky.”
