JoJo Siwa’s ‘Deaf’ Response to Pacific Palisade Wildfires
Entertainer Jojo Siva faces a whirlwind of controversy over what fans are calling a “tone-deaf” response to the ongoing wildfires that have plagued Pacific Palisade region and beyond.
In a now-deleted Instagram video posted by the “Guilty Pleasure” singer’s girlfriend on Friday, the “Dance Moms” personality gathers the “one-of-a-kind” items she wants to save if they’re evacuated — including outfits from her music videos.

A resident of Tarzana, California, Siva, 21, is one of many in and around the Palisades area whose homes are in the direct path of wildfires that have reportedly killed 10 people and forced tens of thousands to evacuate.
In an Instagram video first shared Wednesday by the “Karma” singer’s new girlfriend, Australian actor Kat Ebbs, Siva is seen tossing costumes from her music videos into the back of a car, with an alarm blaring in the background.
Off-camera, Ebbs can be heard smiling as Siva shows off a black sequin jumpsuit from her controversial ‘Karma’ music video and a bejeweled construction vest, last seen in 2024’s ‘Guilty Pleasure’ music video.

Jojo Siwa considers the costume on display “his whole life” before making a privileged remark
Further in the video, a distraught Ebbs questions Siva as the artist carries the large display through her luxurious Los Angeles mansion.
“This is my Boomerang costume,” the Nickelodeon star loudly announces, adding, “This is my whole life!”
Abbs repeats in confusion, “Your whole life?” which makes Siva admit that she has already packed more important things.
“I have all the legal documents. I’m going to fill the car with my favorite things,” she tells Ebbs before driving off with the suit in a box.
Seconds later, we see Siva returning to her home, where she shares that the things that are truly important to her life have never been in danger of being destroyed by fire.

“I already have all my family’s hard drives and all that (miscellaneous stuff) somewhere else,” she clarifies to Abs, before reaching into a cupboard to retrieve a cup of flower petals.
“You’re not taking (them) with you,” Ebbs insists, to which Siva replies, “I am.”

Jojo Siva’s followers call the young star’s performance “deaf”.

Before Ebb’s video was removed from Instagram, several of Siva’s followers attacked the former teen icon for her strange handling of the severity of the wildfire devastation.
“What about all the people who are losing their homes, families, pets and possessions?” written by one user, trans Daily Mail. “What about wildlife? Why publish this?”
Another commenter asked: “Who cares?” regarding the Siwa “necessities” shown in the video.
“Countless people don’t have homes and you went with it? Oh.”
“I think there are more important things to talk about,” another social media user said, while an additional follower was more succinct.
“This is so tone deaf,” they wrote.
Jojo Siwa may not have to evacuate due to wildfires
Although Ebb’s video with Siva was eventually removed, an update from the Australian content creator struck a nerve with fans – as it turns out, they didn’t need to evacuate the mansion.
On Thursday morning, two days after wildfires broke out in the Pacific Palisades area, Ab told fans that she and Siva were safe, as was Siva’s posh property, making the whole thing moot.
Reports from Architectural Digest claims the sizzling dance star, who identifies as a lesbian, first purchased the six-bedroom estate aged 16 in 2019 for $3.43 million. Before Christmas, Siva put Tarzana’s house on the market.
Once a media darling, Siva has come under the microscope several times over the past year.

Unlike Jojo Siwa, many celebrities have lost their homes in wildfires

While Siva and her girlfriend have been lucky, other celebrities have spoken out about the losses they’ve suffered as a result of the wildfires in Los Angeles, which continue to wreak havoc.
In the last few days, such stars as Paris Hilton, Melissa Riversand Britney Spears shared stories of being evacuated and seeing the destruction of their precious homes. Our hearts are still with those affected by the bushfires.
