John Stamos’ wife jokes that before marriage he “picked everyone”.
Caitlin McHugh joked about why she thinks her marriage to John Stamos remains so strong.
“There’s a lot of good communication and stuff,” McHugh, 38, said Fox News in an interview published on Tuesday, December 31. “But really, I wonder if it’s because he’s already gone through everyone else. I was the last one.’
The couple, who have a 6-year-old son, Billy, married in 2018. In February 2025, they will celebrate seven years of marriage.
“Well, I guess it was a long time in Hollywood,” she shared in her latest interview. “Not in real life, but we spend a lot of time together.”

These days, Stamos enjoys spending time at the Disneyland Resort with his family. The actor also witnessed his son showing signs of having fun.
“He’s in dance class,” McHugh shared, discussing her son’s latest milestones. “He had his first solo gig last summer and he’s as much of a ham as his father. It is not far from the fallen tree. He just likes to make other kids laugh.”
At just six years old, Billy also became popular with the ladies in his boy group.
“He’s got all these girls who are in love with him,” McHugh, who plays the title role An invisible predator – he said, laughing. “He can’t help it. That’s just how he is. But unlike us, he is also more athletic. He has a basketball team and he likes to play sports, and we don’t understand it, but we support whatever he wants to be interested in, and luckily, for better or for worse, entertainment is part of it.”
Stamos himself has previously spoken about his life as a father. Away from the lights Fuller House alum said there’s nothing better than spending quality time with those who matter most.
“I love family time. We try to do things with the three of us, quite a lot,” Stamos said Us Weekly in September 2022 “There’s a mall here (in Los Angeles) called The Commons. We love going there. We see turtles, have lunch, and then eat ice cream. We just sit and talk and eat ice cream. I like doing it. It’s pretty special.”
