Jhene Aiko addresses online critics after losing home in Los Angeles wildfires

The Shade Room caught up with the “Stay Ready” singer to comment on the post, calling out people who didn’t mention her loss due to her celebrity status.

“The fact that some of you think I have Paris Hilton money is wild. I don’t have that, but I have a big, loving family that is worth more than anything,” Aiko wrote.

Jenny also revealed how she lost her house to a fire in second grade and had to deal with kids who bullied her thinking she came from money. She added that she is grateful to be in a better place now than she was then.

“But they thought we were rich because we had love!! My family and our friends got together and made sure my mom, me and my siblings got at least 1 new tracksuit and 1 new pair of shoes the very next day. I am fortunate to be in a better situation than I was then. And I pray to receive as much grace as my mother did at that time. I work very hard for my family. I pray that you all stay safe, God bless,” Aiko continued.
