Jessica Simpson Teases ‘Soundtrack to My Soul’ Amid Eric Johnson’s Split

Simpson, 44, went to Instagram on Monday, Dec. 16, to share a sultry photo of herself reclining in a chair in a room filled with recording equipment. “I can’t wait for you to hear the soundtrack of my soul 💿” she told her 6 million followers in the caption.
In the photo, Simpson wore a white satin top and skirt with a black jacket, teaming the look with black fishnet stockings that covered her waist. On her feet: black platform cowboy boots that made her look like a gothic country singer. Simpson also flaunted a black statement necklace, a golden tan and kept her blonde hair long and slicked back. As for her face, she sported dramatic black eye makeup and pink glossy lips.
It was Simpson’s first post on social media since November, when she published a series of smoldering pictures and showed that after a long break she is creating new music again.

Simpson, who has hits like “I Wanna Love You Forever” and “I Think I’m In Love With You,” last released an album in 2010 with Merry Christmas. Starting last year, she began to open up about the return of her pop star past.
“Now I do it as a mother, as a wife. Last time I was a wife, but this is a completely different marriage,” she said A commotion during the 2023 interview. “And they’ve never seen me do that.”
In April, Simpson uploaded a photo from the recording studio through X and seemingly hinted at her next venture. her sister Ashlee Simpsonconfirmed exclusively for Us Weekly which was jessica “in the studio”.
Ashley, who teased that she will also be releasing new music soon, revealed us in June: “So watch us both walk in. … There is more to come and you will hear from Jess soon.”
Since the last Simpsons album focused on her family — which includes son Ace, 11, and daughters Maxwell, 12, and Birdie, 5, whom she shares with Johnson.
The source confirmed us in November that Simpson and Johnson, 45, were “now they live separately” after they were spotted without their engagement rings.
A second insider revealed that the couple planned to spend the holidays with the whole family despite the fact that they are not under the same roof.

“They’re both really committed to the children’s well-being and trying to figure out what’s best for them,” the source added.

Although neither Simpson nor Johnson have addressed their marital status, a fourth insider said us that the singer is “heartbroken” and it was not easy to make this decision.
Simpson, who was previously married to Lachey, 51, from 2002 to 2006, has previously been candid about her partnership with Johnson.
