Jessica Alba and Cash Warren the two have reportedly faced numerous relationship issues in their 17-year marriage, including jealousy and declining romance.

The couple had high hopes for their marriage, but the relationship soon soured when they changed their “priorities” and started welcoming children.

After it was announced that the couple were to divorce, Jessica Alba confirmed the news, announcing that they were going their separate ways to “start a new chapter.”

Alba and Warren’s marriage had its share of marital problems before it finally fell apart.

The couple met in 2004 on the set of the movie “Fantastic Four” and tied the knot four years later with the hope of living happily ever after.

However, the source revealed the ups and downs they had to go through in their marriage, telling Daily Mail that their changing “priorities” and lack of love became a problem along the way.

“The romantic relationship with them was very bad for over a year,” an insider told the news outlet. “They’re so committed to their kids and their careers, but they haven’t developed their relationship. They are just friends.”

“When they started, they thought they would work together and make movies and TV shows,” the source continued. “But once their business started to grow and they had children, their priorities changed, and so did their feelings.”

Although it was rumored that infidelity was the reason for their decision to end their marriage, the source explained that this is not the case for the couple.

“They both want to start over,” the insider noted. “There was no cheating. They’ve just been through the last year or two and it’s time to move on.”

According to the publication, the insider said that Alba’s success in business made Warren think that their relationship is no longer a priority for her.

In 2011, the “Honey” actress co-founded The Honest Company, which was valued at $1.44 billion when it went public in 2021.

Meanwhile, Warren’s business ventures, including production company Verso Entertainment and underwear brand Pair of Thieves, generate more than $100 million in revenue.

This was reported by a source Daily Mail that Alba was “so focused on her business that she didn’t give Cash any leverage to make things work, and he tried.”

“She just kept rebuffing any attempts to go on dates and do anything as a couple,” they shared. “It got to the point where it was easier for him to give up and give her what he felt she ultimately wanted.”

Cash Warren’s jealousy was a problem

During an appearance on Jan Kramer’s Whine Down podcast in 2023, Warren opened up about how his jealousy nearly ruined their relationship in its infancy.

The Hollywood producer, who appears to have been out of the industry since 2015, explained that when they first got together, he was “really jealous of other guys and the attention she was getting from other guys,” adding that “it just didn’t make me feel feel good.”

“I’ve always been a pretty confident person in my (life), going my own way and being very happy, and the next thing you know, I’m constantly looking up and feeling jealous,” he shared, according to Daily Mail. “I was like, ‘I hate feeling like this.’ It doesn’t make me feel good, and I know it doesn’t make you feel good.’

Warren’s jealousy led to a four-year break between the couple.

“It was jealousy. I was turning into a jerk and we broke up,” Warren explained, adding that he had to work on his feelings and became Alba’s biggest fan and “a good teammate.”

Meanwhile, the exes have not yet officially filed for divorce, but are already agreeing on the details of their upcoming separation.

According to US Weeklya source explained that the estranged couple plans to file for divorce “soon,” although the process appears to have stalled due to the ongoing fires in Los Angeles.

“Cash has been slowly moving things out of their home, but since the fires they’ve been spending more time together as a family,” the source said. “They’re by each other’s side right now because it’s a very busy time.”

Against the background of their split, the source said People magazine that they are still “friends and all about the kids” but suggested that it would be hard for them not to officially split up because it was “hard to keep the spark” in their marriage.

“Regardless of what’s going on right now, it looks like they’re going to stay close,” the insider said.

They continued: “If they’re filing for divorce, it’s not because of some hate drama. They still look happy together. However, over the years, Jess has mentioned that it’s hard to keep the spark going.’
