Jesse Palmer thinks Matt James could be the Bachelor again
Because the fans are still reeling Matt James and Rachel Kirkconnellsplit us couldn’t help but wonder if they would be able to hand out (or receive) roses again one day.
“I think everything is open,” the host said Jesse Palmer told Us Weekly during the an exclusive interview about his partnership with Great Clips. “First of all, I was very sad to read and see it. And I hope they are both doing well. This must be a very, very difficult time for the two of them. And I know they want to (and) it’s going to take time to process everything that happened.”
James, 33, announced on Thursday, January 16 that he and Kirkconnell, 28, had split. He used a photo from season 25 A bachelor – where they met four years ago – for his headline-making announcement.
“I think the last thing they wanted to think about was rushing back into the show,” Palmer continued. “These decisions are way above my head. However, I absolutely believe the show would consider bringing one or both back at some point down the road if they were open to it. Of course.”
While Kirkconnell and James are the latest splits to rock Bachelor Nation, the show’s final season, The Golden Bachelor Season 1, stars Joan Vassos – ended with an engagement.

Vasas, 62, and Chapple, 61, said they were in no rush to walk down the aisle.
“But I know they’re both very excited,” Palmer continued. “They enjoy each other’s company. And look, I certainly hope wedding bells are on the horizon sooner rather than later, but they’ve earned this right to spend time enjoying each other, and if they need an officiant, I know the guy.”
Meanwhile, Palmer is preparing for the premiere Grant EllisSeason 29 A bachelor.

Disney/John Fleenor“I don’t want to speak for Grant, but I think he’s very, very happy with how it ended,” Palmer teased us. “I know he’s excited for everyone to watch this unfold. Grant is very easy to root for. I’m a fan of his and I know he’s so successful in everything he’s done in his life except love (so far).”
Fans waiting for the ABC show to return have seen plenty of Palmer on the network via its great clips commercial that aired throughout the college football playoffs touting the brand’s $9.99 haircut.
“Sorry, not sorry,” he joked us about how often the ad was shown. “I had a lot of fun doing it. It was great. The best time of the year is the National Championship, the playoffs. We all want to look and feel our best. It’s great.”
The Great Clips coupon will only be valid at participating salons until January 31, 2025.
