Jeff Probst teases that Survivor 47 s Final Tribal Council will have a real battle

Jeff Probst spins up 47 survivedUpcoming Final Tribal Council.

“The Survivor 47 finale offers a fantastic two-hour conclusion to a great season,” the 63-year-old Survivor host said in an interview Entertainment Weekly published on Monday, December 16. “Including a dramatic fire-starting confrontation and an actual battle at the final Tribal Council.”

“It really started with CBS asking us a few months before filming if we could do 14 episodes for season 47 instead of 13,” Probst said on the Thursday, Dec. 12, episode “On Fire” podcast “There were some things in their schedule that they wanted to try, and some of that work will depend on whether we can do 14 episodes. Yes (Executive Producer) Matt (Van Wagonen), and I sat down and broke the finale down into pieces and explored if and how we could pull it off.”

Probst admitted it He survived has a heavy load of “content” that results in “not enough time to show all the stories” they would like to show the audience.

“It really worked because we were able to highlight things that normally wouldn’t be highlighted,” he explained. “And it was a great reminder for us that sometimes you have to take a step back and check what you’re doing — just because you’ve always done it that way doesn’t mean it always has to stay that way.”
