JBL Flip 7 Review: Time for Party Refined

Rate this post

Over the years, JBL’s Flip has become my favorite Bluetooth speaker, offering the best deal between sound, size and durability. My trust Flip 5 It may not be the highest-Fi model in my arsenal, but it offers a clear and complete audio performance, and its convenient combination of usability and mobility makes it the one I turn to when I need music on the move (or in the courtyard).

Flip has improved better with any iteration, and the new Flip 7 is up to date. It adds a welcome battery reinforcement, new features such as a movable wearing strap, upgrading the sound on a tweet’s tweet and a new AI Sound Boost DSP system for more stroke. Unfortunately, crawling characteristics comes with an increase in prices (thank you, inflation). It’s only $ 20 over Flip 6 but this slim division margin between rivals such as Ue Boom 4 (8/10, Recommended Wired) and beats a pill (8/10, Recommended Wired) was part of Flip’s complaint.

The new speaker also trades the comfortable system of the JBL party, which connects many older models in tandem for the next big thing AurakastS This is disappointing to JBL collectors and can make a pick up Flip 6 On sale more intelligent purchase. These points aside, the Flip 7 is an excellent speaker who sounds better than ever. If you have withstood it is a decent upgrade and again among The best Bluetooth speakers You can buy.

(Lightly) new digs

Flip’s main design has not changed much over time, with the same tubular profile wrapped in a Flack jacket in six different colors. This is actually the terrain of sales: “the same size, a bigger blow,” although the speaker received a teenage slightly higher to 7.19 inches. Matte Metallic JBL matte logo in front provides a stylish upgrade over the aging Flip 5, but looks almost identical with 6.

A few noticeable changes include further protruding rubber rowing around the end covers, rearranged controls on board and a new contour that is released by pressing the button. The detached design is not the most stable – I lost the cycle for a moment during my assessment, assuming that I accidentally pressed the release key – but you are reserving a carabiner.

Most of the new things are undetectable, including shock testing for a meter drops to match the speakers like Boom 4 and Megaboom 4S I kicked around my casually casually flip rather casually without a problem, but I appreciate the extra security, especially since a drop of my pill from the cabin staircase led to some nasty marks.

The Flip 7 is also resistant to the atmospheric influences of the IP68, unlike the more standard IP67. “6” means the highest level powder check for beach escapades, while “8” is neatly defined by manufacturers; In this case, it is equal to the safe immersion of 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes, not 1 meter on IP67.

JBL says it has processed a thiP semi-inch dome for a more refined sound, which is paired with a 1.75- 3-inch competitioner for a mono sound race. The Beats pill provides stereo shoes while the boom offers a 360-degree sound scene. However, the Flip 7 features some of the best sounds you will find in its size. JBL says another part of the sound equation is the updated digital signal processing called AI Sound Boost (JBL loves the word “boost”).
