Jamie Foxx is speaking out after a row at a birthday party in Beverly Hills

The 57-year-old actor shared a statement via Instagram on Sunday, December 15, after an altercation at a Beverly Hills restaurant the night before.
Foxx posted a photo on Instagram with white text on a black background: “The devil is busy… but I’m too blessed to be stressed.” He pinned the post at the top of his profile.
“The devil is a lie,” Fox wrote in the caption. “I can’t win here…thanks to everyone who prays and supports me…when your light shines bright…they try to bring you darkness…but they don’t know you are made for this…the lights were shining brightly…”
He continued: “And a huge thank you to everyone who watched and was inspired by ‘What Had Happened Was’ … number 1 on @netflix if you haven’t checked it out please check it out, it’s from my heart and my soul … .”
On Saturday, December 14, Fox was going to celebrate his 57th birthday. “Jamie Foxx was at a birthday dinner when someone from another table threw a glass that landed in his mouth,” Fox’s spokesperson said. In a statement to Us Weekly at that time. “He got stitches, he’s recovering. The police were called, now the matter is with law enforcement agencies.”
TMZ reported that Fox was at Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills when the incident occurred. He was joined by his two daughters, Corinne and Annalise, as well as his ex, Christine Grannis.
According to the Beverly Hills Police Department, the call was made around 10pm about an alleged fight at the restaurant.
“Upon investigation, officers determined that an assault with a deadly weapon was unprovoked,” BHPD said in a press release. “Instead, the incident involved a physical altercation between the parties.”
The statement continued, “BHPD conducted a preliminary investigation and compiled a report documenting the battery. There were no arrests.”
The incident is the latest in Fox’s recent health issues, which he addressed in his latest Netdli special What Had Happened Was.
In April 2023, Fox was hospitalized for what daughter Corrine described as a “medical complication.” In his special edition, Fox revealed that he had suffered a brain haemorrhage, a stroke and was unable to walk. He also claimed to have lost his memory for 20 days.
