Jackery’s Curved Solar Shingles are so standard, even your HOA might like them
Long-time solar generator company Jackery is leveling the U.S. rooftop game with the introduction of XBC Curved Solar Tiles. Debuting at CES 2025, Jackery’s curved solar roof tiles are available in terracotta or obsidian, designed to match some of the country’s most common house styles. While solar roof tiles definitely already exist in the US, they are the first with a wavy aesthetic. Sounds like HOA presidents everywhere just lost another excuse to prevent your rooftop solar installation.
The new tiles provide cell conversion efficiencies of over 25 percent and are designed to withstand extreme weather conditions, including hail, high winds and temperatures between -40 degrees F and 185 degrees F. They are designed in accordance with traditional installation practices of roofs featuring a modular setup that allows for flexible maintenance of parts. Jackery gives a 30-year warranty on the tiles as well.
The Jackery Solar Roof System integrates with the company’s existing solar solutions for the home, including the HomePower Inverter, Battery, Hub and Hub Plus, as well as the Solar Generator 5000 Plus and Smart Transfer Switch Kit.
There’s no word yet on specific pricing or availability for the new tiles, although Jackery has been highlighting them heavily at CES 2025. Jackery, founded in Silicon Valley in 2012, is one of the leading names in portable generators and complete home solar kits. an emerging market more accessible every year.
