iOS 18.3 Public Beta 2: Just a few small changes to iPhone (for now)
Apple released second public beta of iOS 18.3 on Tuesday for developers and public beta testers. The release comes a few days after the company launched iOS 18.2.1. Although Apple has fixed several bugs with this update, the latest beta version introduces several improvements for developers and beta testers.

Since this is a beta, I recommend only downloading it on something other than your primary device. Since this isn’t the final version of iOS 18.3, the update may have bugs and battery life may be short, so it’s best to keep those issues on a secondary device.
Note that the beta is not the final version of iOS 18.3, so there may be more features for your iPhone when iOS 18.3 is released. There is no word yet on when Apple will release iOS 18.3 to the public.
Here’s what iOS 18.3 could soon bring to your iPhone. And just a reminder that only developers and beta testers who have iPhone 15 Pro, Pro Max or on iPhone 16 range for now, it has access to all Apple Intelligence features. If you have another iPhone, you won’t be able to access these features.
Repeated operations in the calculator
One thing that developers and beta testers can do in the iOS 18.3 beta is to repeat operations in the Calculator app without re-entering the equation. This isn’t new, but Apple removed this feature from Calculator when the company launched iOS 18 in September.
Now developers and beta testers can continue to double something, for example by simply pressing the equals sign multiple times instead of typing an equation over and over again.
What else is new in the beta?
Other than that, there aren’t many new features. I downloaded the dev and public betas after they were released and I don’t see any other major changes.
There are a few minor aesthetic changes in the beta, with the camera control option in settings now having a dark mode icon. But most of the changes so far are probably internal improvements and refinements.
While there aren’t many changes in the update, it’s only the second public beta of iOS 18.3. There will likely be more betas before the OS is released to the public, so there’s plenty of time for Apple to add new features and improve others. There is currently no word on when Apple will release iOS 18.3 to the general public.
