Ingo Rademacher is seeking legal action against the ABC for firing her from General Hospital following the return of Steve Burton

Ingo Rademacher wants to go back to court against ABC for firing him General hospital the following Steve Burtonrecent return to soap opera.

According to court documents received by Us WeeklyRademacher, 53, filed a motion Thursday, Dec. 26, asking for a new trial against the network, citing new evidence.

In a statement, Rademacher claimed that Burton’s recent return to General hospital “undermines” the ABC’s argument that Rademacher’s “political beliefs played no role in the decision to fire him” back in 2021.

In November 2021, both Rademacher and Burton were present dismissed from General hospital due to their refusal to comply with the demands of the show The COVID-19 vaccine mandate. Rademacher, who played Jax on the ABC series for 25 years, has been outspoken about his beliefs about vaccination requirements. Before being fired, he advocated for “medical freedom” through his Instagram page.

A month after his release from General hospitalRademacher announced that he was taking legal action against ABC over their policy. Rademacher followed suit and entered into a legal battle with the network, where he accused ABC of religious discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination and violation of his right to privacy.

ABC has denied Rademacher’s allegations. The network argued that their decision to let Rademacher go was based on his health, not his religious beliefs. In June 2023, a judge sided with ABC.

Burton, for his part, has not sued the network. Instead, he joined the cast Days of our lives in April 2022, reprising his role as Harris Michaels, which he played in 1988.

Earlier this year, Burton announced that he was leaving Days of our lives.

Two months later it was announced that Burton was return set to General hospital to reprise his role as Jason Morgan three years after his dismissal. He made his first recurring appearance on the soap opera in March.
